| Welcome to ASA Chitose Brats |
Posted: April 22nd, 2008 |
The “Chitose Brats” web site was originally instituted several years ago by Rosemary Bryce (I believe) but was later deactivated due to lack of interest and personal reasons of the website manager and initiator. Currently, more than 30 individuals have become members (there are no fees involved). I envisioned that this group's purpose would be to locate and renew old acquaintances and to relive old memories in a small way through reunions and trips (possibly back to Chitose). We share a common objective with the members of ASA Chitose (see links) which is an organization of former military who served in Chitose. I recommend all brats visit their site. It is full of wonderful photos, narratives and links. If you are a Chitose brat I encourage you to become a member of ASA Chitose brats. |

The purpose of this site is to establish an "electronic presence" for the group on the World Wide Web. If you were ever a dependent of someone who worked with or for the US military in Chitose and you were physically present there at the time, you are encouraged to contact the group by e-mail or regular mail as shown below.
Currently you can contact Mike Shaner, current organizer:

| Update 4/16/2008 |
Posted: April 22nd, 2008 |
We are still getting this site in shape.
A reunion is still being planned for around April 2009. The general venue will be the DC area (Maryland;Virginia). However, it will be necessary for all members to input their ideas, etc. as well as their intentions to participate. I am still waiting for more members to respond. It would also be good, that you inform other chitose brats who are not members of this site about what is being planned. All members that have provided an email will be emailed shortly (when some details have been worked out). Please email me with all your input at the address indicated on the intro. page.
Thank you for your patience.
